Five photographers have been awarded photography bursaries from the National Media Museum. The five winners David Birkin, Jonathan Foulger, Tess Hurrell, Jo Longhurst and Indre Serpytyte were chosen out of 200 applications, the highest number reached in the Bursary’s history.
The people of the West Midlands have gathered together over 100, 000 photos as a contribution towards a record breaking attempt to create the biggest photo mosaic and they want your help. The digital photography age has probably claimed another victim as Polaroid announce they are to stop film production and close four US factories. Polaroid stopped making cameras last year, and will concentrate on producing electrical goods including mobile printers and digital cameras.
